Children
HSE children’s disability services and school/NCSE routes can operate in parallel. Financial supports such as DCA depend on care impact and scheme criteria, not the label alone.
Adult transition
Planning for HSE adult day opportunities should begin before school ends. Residential supports are a separate needs-led route where required.
Rights and decisions
Inclusion Ireland provides rights information. The National Advocacy Service can provide independent representative advocacy for adults in relevant situations, while the Decision Support Service covers formal decision-support arrangements.
