Housing & transport supports
These routes have different criteria and decision-makers; a disability diagnosis alone does not establish entitlement.

Home adaptations
Housing Adaptation Grant and Mobility Aids Grant applications are administered by local authorities and have current scheme/means requirements.
School transport
The special-education transport route has specific diagnosed-disability and NCSE/SENO criteria. Use the current school-year process.
Free Travel
Free Travel may be automatic with some qualifying payments or require registration. From March 2026 users need a valid in-date Free Travel Public Services Card.
Other transport routes
The Disabled Person’s Parking Permit is based on a permanent condition that severely restricts walking. Revenue’s Disabled Drivers and Disabled Passengers Scheme is narrower again and requires a Primary Medical Certificate under strict severe and permanent physical-disability criteria. These are not general neurodivergence entitlements.
