Assessment and therapy

Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland provides guidance and occupational-therapy related services. For children with broader disability needs, the HSE children’s disability referral route may also be relevant.

School

Discuss functional needs with the school. Supports should be tied to the child’s access and learning needs rather than relying on a label alone.

Adults and work

Work and Access can be relevant when a long-term disability or health condition creates a workplace barrier and the scheme criteria are met.
